About the Instructor

Fernando Moreira has tracked since boyhood, trained by his father and grandfather — both professional trackers. After serving as a military tracker during the Portuguese colonial wars in Africa, he brought his expertise to U.S. law enforcement and search & rescue.

He currently assists the Washoe County Sheriff's Office in tactical operations and has been a qualified expert witness in California and Nevada courts. He is the author of Visual Mantracking for Law Enforcement and Search and Rescue and Shadow Disciple.
